Phishing – Threatening Emails Reported
Just recently I received another one of those phishing type emails. You know the kind, people trying to get you to click on their email so that you get some kind of malicious virus on your computer or the email takes you to a web site that is trying to get you to inadvertantly put in your username and password to bank information or something like that?
Well, I must say that I usually don’t get upset over unwanted emails when they are legitimate business owners just trying to increase their business. However, this one was a little different. It was a threatening email. An email by some one who threatened my physical person in an obnoxious email. What will these people think of next?
I wanted to let people know that this is a phishing email – designed to get you to click on a link that you should not click on. I also do not believe that any person has the right to threaten another person or threaten the destruction of their property. That is criminal – and should not be tolerated.
Below is the simple form of the email (less the links of course). Should you receive anything like this – DO NOT CLICK ON IT – DO NOT OPEN IT.
